Hogle Zoo

Yesterday was a perfect day at the Hogle Zoo!  Davis, Jillian, and Claire joined Brock and I.  Claire was loving all the animals which made the zoo even more fun. Her pointer fingers were out the whole time. SO CUTE!

The zoo just welcomed a baby girl elephant. She was so big, yet so small at the same time. I cannot imagine being pregnant for 22 month. Yikes!

We decided to go to the bird show. Honestly I thought that it was going to be zoo keepers bringing out birds and telling us about them, but it was better than that. A few times the birds flew right over our heads. An owl even hit Brock and I in the head with its wings.
Is it just me or do these camel's look like they might be coming down with some type of disease?
This is a gorilla's hand print. Brock's hand is barley coming to it's knuckles!

This was the best part of our day at the zoo and I think Brock was stoked too!  The giraffe was eating grass and Brock had the bright idea to pick some so he could feed it even though the signs say "Do not feed us. Even leaves can make us sick." Then all of a sudden out of no where the giraffe walked over and stuck out his cow like tongue and ate the grass right off of Brock's hand.

Happy 6 Months!

When I came home from school today the table was set, a bag of tootsie rolls were waiting to be opened, and two dozen red roses became the center piece for our table.  I do not know why, but I love it when I get flowers. I seriously have the BEST husband ever! He knows me better than I know myself...

Happy Six Months Brock! There is no one else in the world I would rather be with than you! I love you!

10K

On Saturday Brock and I ran our first and last 10k.  I do not know how he talked me into running 6.2 miles, but we both ran the whole thing along with the Huber family. He finished in 1 hour and 3 minutes and it took me 1 hour and 4 minutes. I told him that if I was going to run (which I did not want to do at all) that he had to run next to me the whole time. He ran along the side of me until the last minute when he sprinted in front of me so that he could beat his older brother Brad. I am not sure how he got that extra energy to sprint the rest of the way, I was barley jogging at that point...

 FLOW RIDER!!!
We rented out the flow rider in the Riverwoods Beach Resort. It was so fun and a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. Maybe it is because my legs were still wobbly from the 10k!
